Short Music Review: Shuddh Desi Romance

Director: Maneesh Sharma
Cast: Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra & Vaani Kapoor
Music Director: Sachin-Jigar
Lyricist: Jaideep Sahni

1) Tere Mere Beech Mein - (Sunidhi & Mohit): The tune is sufficiently romantic as well as quirky. The westernized arrangements makes things look even better! Sunidhi is really good in this song. Rating 3/5

2) Gulabi - (Jigar Saraiya & Priya Saraiya): Somewhere will remind you about A.R.Rahman or Amit Trivedi. An amazingly perky and lovely tune. Jigar with his career best singing. The repetitive folksy interludes is addictive. Rating 4.5/5

3) Chanchal Mann Ati Random - (Divya Kumar): Highly energetic background. Background will win your heart. Divya Kumar is brilliant in this song. Rating 3.5/5

4) Shuddh Desi Romance - (Benny Dayal & Shalmali Kholgade): Crazy song. Shalmali Kholgade at her best again and Benny Dayal is highly spirited. Rating 4/5

5) Mujhe Kiss Kar Sakte Ho - (Instrumental): Brilliant instrumental.. Slow buildup with loavable ending. Rating 3/5

6) Love In Jaipur - (Instrumental): Brilliant start. Additional vocals Priya Panchal whispering something in Rajasthani. Exotic desi arrangement. Rating 3.5/5

7) Tez Waala Attraction - (Instrumental): Basically Chahchal mann interludes rehashed, nothing much. Quirky. Rating 3/5

8) Boyfriend Banogey - (Instrumental): Gulabi interlude presented in a different avatar, charming! Additional Vocals: Saelin Sanghvi. Rating 3.5/5

9) Bhanwara Ma Bhatke - (Instrumental): With additional voice of Vidya Kumar. Impressive pedestrian lineup of instruments, interesting! Rating 3.5/5

Note: Arguably the best work of Sachin-Jigar.
