Shaadi Ke Side Effects; First Day Box Office Collections

Shaadi Ke Side Effects managed decent business in the North but recorded low figures elsewhere. The film actually did well on day one in Delhi/NCR and East Punjab. The first day all India total was around 5.50 crore nett which is third highest first day of 2014 but there is a big gap between the first two Jai Ho and Gunday and the rest of the field.

The Delhi/UP day one figure was let down by business in UP while East Punjab came out with a healthy first day total. The problem for the film was elsewhere as most other circuits like CP Berar, CI, Nizam and Rajasthan recorded very low collections.

Shaadi Ke Side Effects managed to get better day one figures than films like Highway, Hasee Toh Phasee and Yaariyan but though it has same target audience as these films it is also more expensive. The only films to have come up to expectations on day one are Gunday and Yaariyan but both failed to sustain.
