Bollywood’s leading production house, Yash Raj Films, has announced its slate of movie releases for the year 2014-2015.
Heading the exciting line-up is Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mardaani’. The film, which is directed by Pradeep Sarkar, will see Rani play a cop for the first time and is set to release on 22nd August 2014.
5th September 2014 will see the release of ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’, which is a romantic movie starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, alongside TV star Karan Wahi.
Director Shaad Ali makes a comeback with ‘Kill Dill’, slated for release on 14th November 2014. Starring Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Parineeti Chopra, the film also marks Govinda’s return to Bollywood.
Yash Raj Films will also be distributing Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ (a Diwali release) and Dibaker Bannerjee’s ‘Titli’ in 2014.
To kick-start their releases of 2015, they have Dibaker Bannerjee’s period thriller ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ set for releasing on Valentine’s weekend. The film, starring Sushant Singh Raput, will see the actor portray the popular fictional character from Bengali literature.
Comedy king, Kapil Sharma, will be debuting as an actor with Y Films’ comic caper ‘Bank Chor’ on 6th March 2015.
Despite the lukewarm response ‘Bewakoofiyaan’ received, Ayushmann Khurrana reunites with the YRF banner for ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, releasing 24th April 2015.
The last of the announced projects for 2015 will be director Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, which will be releasing on 14th August 2015.
