Singham Returns Set to Beat Opening Day Record of Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express

The film is huge at single screens and multiplexes have seen extraordinary occupancies pf 60% plus through the whole day. The first ay collections will be around 30 crore nett or thereabouts.

The film has set records in Rajasthan (allowing for changes in the taxes system) and CI. Gujarat and Maharashtra are also phenomenal and Mumbai could come out a record which could take the collections even higher than 30 crore nett.

North which could have been the weak link has registered huge collections with
 East Punjab at the level of Kick and Delhi/UP easily surpassing Kick. North India has had a bigger opening than Rohit Shetty's last film Chennai Express. The film is far the biggest opening ever seen for a film featuring Ajay Devgn or Kareena Kapoor
